Veterinary Technology program holds 2026 pet food drive January 22 through February 5

BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University's Veterinary Technology program is collecting pet supply donations to help local pets during their fourth pet food drive. Between January 22 and February 5, donate dog and cat food and cat litter via a campus drop box. To find campus drop box locations, visit rri.appstate.edu/vet-tech/pet-food

Donations benefit the Watauga Humane Society's Pet Food Pantry, a resource for community pet owners. The pantry supplies food once a month to eligible recipients who have provided proof that their pet is spayed or neutered. The pantry relies on generous donations from the community to operate.

Appalachian State University’s Department of Rural Resilience and Innovation is one of 17 academic departments in the College of Arts and Sciences and serves as a hub for App State faculty, staff and students working on scholarship, teaching and service with rural community partners.
